Before you call.
What does custom software cost?
A standalone custom system (Smart System) starts from €3,250 excluding VAT, plus Vorteca Core from €40 per month for hosting, monitoring and technical management. The price scales with complexity: the number of roles, integrations and whether there is a client-facing side. Smaller custom features within an existing website or environment are priced on their own scope. After the intake you know what your project costs.
Is bespoke not far more expensive than a subscription?
Up front usually yes, monthly usually no. Off-the-shelf software charges per user per month for as long as you use it. Bespoke is a one-off investment with Vorteca Core as a fixed monthly fee underneath. For a growing team that sum often flips within two years.
What if my process changes later?
Then the system changes with it. That is the point of bespoke: you are not waiting on a vendor's roadmap. Ongoing development runs in clear iterations.
How do you handle security and GDPR?
Authorisation is enforced at row level in the database, not just in the interface. We host data within the EU by default, and every project goes through a security review before launch. A hidden button is not security — that is how we build.
Who owns the code?
Once paid in full, you receive the right to use the work delivered specifically for your project. Generic Vorteca components, frameworks and tooling remain Vorteca's. The exact arrangements are set per project, based on our terms and conditions.
Can you integrate with what we already use?
Usually. If the system has an API or webhooks, we can connect it. Accounting, mail, calendar and payments are the usual suspects.
